FA-13 gripped the door release and announced to Tengo he was ready. Tengo adjusted his grip on his two weapons, a DL-44 with laser designator in his left hand and a modified Westar 35R in his right. Tengo nodded to FA-13 and the droid threw the cargo room door open. Tengo charged in clearing corners and quickly scanning with his paired blasters. Across the room he caught sight of the R4 unit from earlier that they all decided was as close to crazy as anyone had even seen a droid.
The R4 unit’s visual aperture pivoted towards Tengo as it was frantically mashing buttons on a control panel by the exit across the room. The droids in the mining facility Bargos had hired them to inspect had launched into some mechanical revolution mode and killed half the sentient crew. There wasn’t any time to dwell regardless of all the facts. Tengo leveled his blasters, exhaled, and calmly began squeezing the triggers, blaster bolt after blaster bolt spat out of the pair of handguns and screamed across the room towards the R4 unit. One caught the R4 and picked him up off the deck with the impact. It was spun partially around before several more impacted and explosively disassembled the droid.
Tengo paused his fire after the explosion to admire the hits and it was only at the last second he caught the sound of mechanical apparatus above and behind him. He ducked and began to roll forward only to have what he was pretty sure was the building hit him on the right shoulder and send him sprawling on the floor. Fire and pain lanced across his back and neck, but when he hit the floor he managed to roll and bring his pistols up firing. The load lifter droid pretty much was a wall with cargo handler arms. It was stomping towards him as Tengo’s shots began flaring against its chest and torso. The massive machine staggered back a step.
Tengo heard a Wookie roar as Gur, their sometime mechanic and all the time vice ridden Wookie partner, came in the room around the load lifter. Tengo could see blaster shots coming from across the room and out of the corner of his eye he glimpsed another battle droid from the Clone War days with a blaster rifle behind some crates. The machine never got another shot off as he heard the report of Gur’s Bowcaster and saw the battle droid blown in three by the explosive quarrel hits.
Tengo then began hearing blaster fire behind the load lifter coming from the machine shop where the rest of their team was. He could see flashes of impacts against the load lifter as their other two partners Oyakk and FA-13 were both pumping fire into the droid from behind. The load lifter turned its attention to them and the new threat assessing Tengo as down and out of commission on the floor. Tengo was taking aim on the load lifter as FA-13, Gur, and Oyakk’s shots finally took their toll and put the load lifter down in a smoking heap.

A voice then blared over the facility intercom. Sterile, passionless, mechanical. It identified itself as EV-88, the hereto unseen droid administrator and apparent leader of the droid revolution. Tengo looked and saw him enter the cargo deck from across the room by a set of handler blast doors with yet another lovely, hulking, load lifter at his side. He was extolling in monotone bullet points the superiority of droid kind and how between the failing environmental shields, and superior droid forces they would all meet their certain demise. Tengo saw Gur’s shoulders sink as the dialogue rambled on and that was about enough of this Tengo thought to himself.
While EV-88 continued and the second load lifter came to life, Tengo still lying on his back, casually reached down and un-clipped the last miniaturized TD charge he had from the Novacore facility from his belt. He set the time delay, looked over his shoulder at EV-88 and then completed what he was pretty sure was the best hook shot he had ever made in his life as he lobbed the charge at the droids on the other side of the room. It sailed in a high arc, Tengo could see the flashing indicator of the countdown as it soared. EV-88 was speaking and paused for an instance to pivot his head towards the charge as it came level with his head. His last official act as administrator was to look at it as the charge detonated and a mini star was born on the cargo deck. A couple hundred cubic meters of deck turned to fusion plasma. Two droids turned to molten slag splashed on the wall and blast doors behind them. The blast door breached and the scream of escaping atmo filled Tengo’s ears, along with a litany of curses and malignant opinions in Wookie roars from Gur. The base breach alarm was wailing and Tengo heard Oyakk in the comm advise him and Gur to take precautions.
Tengo, still lying on his back gave thumbs up to Gur, who peaked from behind a crate and returned the gesture. The Wookie drew out a cigar and lit it. Tengo then casually reached up with his unused opposing index finger and closed his breather visor. He let out a well deserved exhale, still lying there. He made a promise to himself, the Force and anyone else interested that if Bargos said one cross word to him when they got back to Mos Eisley he would shoot the worm’s last good eye out.

Location: Tatooine and Gavos
Debts to Pay

ABY 0-4-10 Galactic Standard Calendar

Participants: FA-13, Gur, Ooyakk, and Tengo Ryder.

Location: Tatooine and Gavos

After the crew’s altercation with the space pirates they arrive on Tattoine. Restless and itching for a new job to help Booski pay off his Debt to Teemo the Hutt the crew make for the nearest Cantina. After making their way through Mos Eisley the crew of IAI find themselves in a crowded cantina, Tengo, Ooyakk, Gur and FA-13 just start to get settled when they are C3-P9. The droid informed them that Bargo the Hutt would like an audience, which the team happily obliges. After finishing their drinks they make their way to the Mansion which they were instructed to go for further instructions on the mission Bargo had in mind.

Once at the mansion they were greeted by the Toydarian, Genko. Genko shuffled the crew into the meeting room where Bargo was waiting. After some brief discussion, Bargo moved on to the more Pressing matters. Bargo had recently obtained control of an oridium mine on the planet Gavos due to a gambling debt of another Hutt. He requested that the crew of IAI fly out there and perform an Audit on the equipment and personnel yet most importantly retrieve the 100,000 credits that should be waiting for him when they arrive. With no other information to give them the crew sets off to complete this request looking for favor from a Hutt, whatever Favor could be had by a Hutt.
Upon reaching the planet of Gavos, the crew had no issues finding the mine Bargo had sent them to investigate. Ooyakk, taking no mind to the fact that they were not hailed during approach to the landing pad landed with Tengo shortly behind him. The crew shortly made their way into the facility only to find blaster marks and signs of struggle. Making their way through the facility the crew continues to find bodies of dead miners tucked away in peculiar places and no signs of droid which should have been there to greet them. The crew make their way through the majority of the facility both unchallenged and bewildered when they happen upon an administrative droid who had been fitted with a restraining bolt. Gur makes a number of attempts to remove the restraining bolt, bringing 3D-4K back to life. As the droid lurched to life an announcement sounded that an atmospheric generator had been lost.

3D-4K is of little use to the crew as they hit him with a barrage of questions, finally asking him to lead them to a room with the schematics of the facility and personnel files. The Droid led the crew a short distance through the facility until they reach an office. In the office Tengo and Gur take some time to go over some security footage and finance records coming up with little more information than they came in with. Ooyakk gathered a tally on how many personnel and droid worked at the facility. Rummaged through the office until he found a safe, finding 165,000 credits upon opening it Ooyakk and FA-13 made quick work of 3D-4k to leave no witnesses in case they decided to keep the credits for themselves.
Finding nothing more of use the crew decide to make their way deeper into the facility. Upon finding their way to the entrance to the Mine they see their first signs of the crew of the mine who was not dead, a large congregation of droids. The Droids make their way to the crew and report that pirates had attacked the facility and had since trapped a number of miners in the mine and currently had them under siege. The crew makes their way into the mine only to find the sentient miners holdup.

The miners inform the crew that the situation was actually that the droids attacked the miners and they had been in the mine when they received word of the attack. The miners also mentioned that if another atmospheric generator is lost the entire facility would be taken out by the outside storms of Gavos and that they needed to hurry to find out what was causing the loss of towers. The IAI gathered the remaining miners and headed back up the mine shaft to confront the droids. Upon their approach to the mine entrance Ooyakk and Tengo notice that the droids had put up a makeshift barricade and now had their blaster rifles trained on them. Quick to respond Tengo leapt from the mining car unleashed a few shots at the droids as Ooyakk aimed the mine car and leapt from the car as it smashed into three of the droids. FA-13 and Gur made quick work of the remaining droids as they approached the Mine entrance.

The crew made their way through the facility into the workshop when Tengo took out an R2 astromech droid just as one of the load lifter droids lurched to life smashing him to the ground. The crew fired true at their target which eventually fell after almost cutting FA-13 in half. Just as the droid fell another load lifter droid and his leader made their way into the room. Having enough of this Tengo pulled out and tossed his Mini-Thermal Detonator spot on. The explosion vaporized both droids. Just then the mining facility could no longer take the winds and debris being hurled at it from the downed XXX. The IAI crew made their way quickly to Hunter’s Gambit and took off back to Tattoine.

The IAI crew made their way safely back to Bargo’s mansion where they were greeted by an overly happy Hutt. The crew gave him back the whole 165,000 credits to whom he gave a hefty 10% for their share.

Imperial Security Investigation into the Incursion of NOVACORE
Imperial Security Report

ABY 0-4-2 Galactic Standard Calendar

(Report from Imperial Security Forces investigating incursion into NOVACORE Kelerium processing plant in Sector 943, Coruscant – Imperial Center)

AFTER ACTION REPORT

0-4-2, 2333 HOURS.

RECEIVED FLASH ALERT TO RESPOND IN FORCE TO SECTOR 943, LOCATION NOVACORE KELERIUM PROCESSING FACILITY. UPON TOUCHDOWN SQUADS 1, 2, AND 4 FANNED OUT AND SET UP STANDARD SECURITY PERIMETER ON LOCATION WITH GROUND/AIR INTERDICTION LOAD.

SQUADS 3, AND 5, ALONG WITH SRT ASSAULT TEAM THETA, MADE ENTRY INTO THE NOVACORE FACILITY. UPON ENTRY SEVERAL NEUTRALIZED SECURITY DROIDS WERE DISCOVERED IN THE FIRST CONTROL ROOM. A CLOSE QUARTER EXCHANGE OF BLASTER FIRE HAD OCCURRED. A SEARCH OF THE AREA LOCATED 3 MUSTAFARI WORKERS LOCKED INSIDE A DISABLED STORAGE CLOSET.

UPON QUESTIONING THE EMPLOYEES REPORTED THE FACILITY HAD BEEN BREACHED BY A GROUP OF SEVERAL HEAVILY ARMED SUBJECTS. THEY HAD WITNESSED THE BRIEF EXCHANGE OF FIRE BETWEEN THE ASSAILANTS AND SECURITY DROIDS, THE DROIDS WHO WERE IN THE WITNESSES OPINIONS COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE. THE ASSAILANTS THEN FORCED THEM TO TURN OVER THEIR IDENTIFICATION, FACILTY LOCK CARDS, COMMS, AND VEHICLE LOCK CARDS BEFORE SECURING THEM IN THE CLOSET. OTHER THAN COERCION, THE EMPLOYEES WERE UNINJURED.

FURTHER CURSORY EXAMINATION OF THE FACILITY UNCOVERED AN ADDITONAL FIREFIGHT HAVING OCCURRED IN THE CENTRAL CONTROL TOWER WITH A NUMBER OF ADDITIONAL DISABLED DROIDS.

THE NWC OF THE FACILITY CONTAINED AN OLDER WAREHOUSE AREA. RECON DROIDS DISCOVERED TRACE EVIDENCE OF A PROBABLE DETONITE I.E.D. TRAP AT THE ENTRY. FURTHER CAUTIONARY CHECKING LOCATED AN UNDETONATED CHARGE THAT WAS DISABLED AND THE SITE OF A DETONATION IN THE UPSTAIRS WAREHOUSE OFFICE ENTRY. TRACE DNA SCAN INDICATED A SIGNIFICANT WOUND TO A TRADOSHAN DUE TO A W-45 GREANDE DETONATION. BLAST PATTERN WAS ODD.

INSIDE THE BALCONY OFFICE OBVIOUS SIGN OF BLASTER FIRE AND POLYMER RESTRAINT RESIDUE WERE LOCATED. ADDITIONALLY WEAPON STRIKES WERE LOCATED ON THE CATWALK SURROUNDING THE WAREHOUSE. A DETONATION CONSISTENT WITH A THERMAL DETONATOR CHARGE WAS DISCOVERED AS WELL.

FINAL CLEARANCE OF THE FACILITY FOUND ANOTHER SITE INDICATING A NIKTO HAD BEEN SERIOUSLY WOUNDED ON THE FACTORY MACHINERY LEVEL. PROBABLE CAUSE WAS A VIBRO WEAPON INURY OF SOME TYPE JUDGING BY BLOOD SPLATTER PATTERN.

FACILITY EMPLOYEES ACCESSED FACTORY SECURITY FOOTAGE. QUALITY WAS POOR HOWEVER, IN ONE ENTRY SHOT A 62% FACIAL RECOGNITION MATCH ON A SECURITY ALERT HIT INDICATED ONE OF THE SUBJECTS MAY HAVE BEEN QUESITONED THE PREVIOUS DAY BY CORUSCANT POLICE DROIDS IN SECTOR 888. THEY WERE NOT LINKED TO ANOTHER FIREFIGHT INVOLVING PROBABLE BLACK SUN OPERATIVES, HOWEVER INFORMATION WAS NOTED AND TURNED OVER TO B.O.S.S. AGENTS ON THEIR ARRIVAL TO THE SCENE.

IN ADDITION SECURITY FOOTAGE INDICATED THE TEAM LIKELY REMOVED A Z-95 VARIANT SNUB FIGHTER FROM THE FACILITY. OUTBOUND DEPARTURE ALERT WAS ISSUED IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT OF INFORMATION. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THE CRAFT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED STOLEN AT THIS TIME, HOWEVER, IT’S PRESENCE AT THE NOVACORE FACILITY IS SUSPECT.

MUSTAFARI WORKERS WERE ORDERED REMANDED TO MAIN DETENTION TO BE BOUND OVER AS MATERIAL WITNESSES TO POTENTIAL SEDITION PENDING FURTHER INTERROGATION.

THIS REPORT CONCLUDES

FSGT PRIME TEKO RENDANI
1ST PLATOON, 64TH QRT COMPANY, 555TH LEGION
